These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.

When the court officers had brought the Apostles in and made them stand before the Sanhedrin, the high priest questioned them, "We gave you strict orders did we not, to stop teaching in that name. Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and want to bring this man's blood upon us." But Peter and the Apostles said in reply, "We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:27-33)

The relentless attacks on Pope Leo by members of the government of the United States remind us that we follow in the footsteps of the apostles. As we profess in the Creed, we are the church of the apostles: one, holy, catholic and apostolic https://youtube.com/shorts/_7zxiwxBrc8?si=RVHpJuOi5fwmq5E7.
